Footnotes:

1. As from July 1990, foreign currency positions are redefined to exclude structural assets and liabilities (including investment in fixed assets and premises, overseas branch capital, investments in overseas subsidiaries and related companies and loan capital).

2. As from January 1999, all national currencies of Euro-participating countries are reported under Euro. As such, figures are not strictly comparable with those of the previous months.
